The short answer

An OnlyFans promotion campaign is a short, measured test: pick a cost per subscriber you will not pay above, create one OnlyFans tracking link per channel, and run each paid channel for 7 to 14 days on a capped budget. About 200 clicks per channel is the minimum worth judging, which is roughly $100 of directory search ads at $0.50 a click. Cut every link that costs more per fan than a fan is worth, and move the money to the ones that do not.

What is a good cost per subscriber on OnlyFans?

A good cost per subscriber is anything below what a new fan is worth to you, and you can work that number out before a single dollar goes into a campaign. OnlyFans keeps 20 percent of everything, so start from what you keep: your monthly price times 0.8, times the number of months an average fan stays, plus what an average fan spends on tips and pay-per-view in that time, also times 0.8.

Your Statistics page has the inputs. If you do not know your renewal rate yet, assume one month. It is a cautious number, and a campaign that pays back on one month of subscription is a campaign you can scale without worrying.

Write the ceiling down. Every decision in the rest of the campaign is a comparison against it, and it stops the most common mistake in paid promotion: judging a channel by how many followers or views it produced instead of what each paying fan cost. The fee detail behind the 20 percent is in our breakdown of how much OnlyFans takes.

Worked example
Subscription price
$10 a month
You keep per month (80%)
$8
Average months a fan stays
2
Tips and PPV per fan, kept
$8
Cost per subscriber ceiling
$24

Swap in your own numbers. At one month and no tips, the same page has an $8 ceiling, and far fewer channels clear it.

How do I run a promotion campaign on OnlyFans? A 14-day plan

The plan runs one measurable paid channel next to your free ones so you always have a baseline, and it puts the first real decision on day 7, when a bad channel has cost you $70 instead of a month of budget. Spend figures use the rates on our live pricing page.

When What you do Spend What to read
Day 0 Write down your price, what a fan is worth to you, and the cost per subscriber you will not pay above $0 Nothing yet. This number decides every later call
Day 0 Create one OnlyFans tracking link per channel and name it after the channel and month $0 Each link starts at zero clicks and zero subscribers
Days 1 to 3 Launch the measurable channel first: directory search ads on a capped daily budget $10 a day Clicks arriving, first subscribers on the link
Days 1 to 7 Run your free channels (Reddit, X, link in bio) on their own links in parallel $0 plus your time Which free source converts, not just which one gets views
Day 7 First review: cost per subscriber on every paid link $70 so far Links with 100+ clicks and zero subscribers are cut or fixed
Days 8 to 14 Move budget toward whatever is under your ceiling; test one paid shoutout on its own link $10 to $20 a day Whether the winner holds at a higher budget
Day 14 Close the test and compare renewals from week one fans About $140 to $210 Which channel gets the next month of money

Set up OnlyFans tracking links for the campaign

OnlyFans tracking links are built into the platform and cost nothing. Each one is a copy of your profile URL that counts its own clicks and the subscribers those clicks became. They are the only thing in the whole campaign that reports what happened on your side of the paywall, so set them up before anything goes live.

1

Open the settings

Go to Settings, then Profile, then the Subscription section, and choose Tracking links.

2

One link per channel

Name each one after the source and month, such as "OnlyFinds search Oct" or "Shoutout vendor A". Two channels on one link cannot be separated later.

3

Hand each vendor its link

Paid shoutouts, promo pages and directory listings all get their own URL. A seller who refuses to post your tracking link is selling something you cannot measure.

4

Log spend next to it

OnlyFans shows clicks and subscribers, not what you paid. Keep a simple sheet with spend per link, and divide.

For the full walk-through on reading those numbers, including where native stats stop and what CRM tools add on top, see our guide to OnlyFans tracking links and cost per subscriber.

How much should I spend on an OnlyFans promotion campaign?

Spend enough to buy about 200 clicks per paid channel, then stop and read the tracking link. The table runs a 14-day test at each ad type's daily minimum. The three right-hand columns are scenarios, not forecasts: what a subscriber would cost if 1, 3 or 5 percent of visitors subscribe. Your tracking link will tell you which column you are actually in.

14-day test Spend Clicks Per subscriber at 1% At 3% At 5%
Search ads, $0.50 a click, $10 a day $140 280 $50.00 $16.67 $10.00
Category ads, $1.00 a click, $15 a day $210 210 $100.00 $33.33 $20.00
Profile clicks, $2.00 a click, $20 a day $280 140 $200.00 $66.67 $40.00

Against the $24 ceiling from the worked example, search ads pay back from about 2.1 percent conversion upward, category ads from about 4.2 percent, and profile clicks need more than 8 percent. That is why the plan starts with the cheapest click and only moves up the rate card once a page has proven it converts. Compare the same arithmetic across shoutouts, promo pages and ad networks in buying OnlyFans promotion.

When to cut a channel and when to scale it

Most creators keep paying for a channel because it feels busy. These rules replace the feeling with the two numbers your tracking link already gives you, clicks and subscribers, plus the spend you logged.

What the link shows What it means What to do
100 clicks, 0 subscribers The traffic arrives and nothing on your page convinces it Pause the spend and fix the page first: bio, price, previews, pinned post
200+ clicks, cost per subscriber above your ceiling The channel works but costs more than a fan is worth to you Cut it, or retest once at a lower subscription price or with a trial link
Cost per subscriber below your ceiling You found a channel that pays back Raise the daily budget in steps of about 50 percent and watch the number hold
Subscribers, but most do not renew Cheap fans who came for one thing Judge the link on month-two renewals before scaling it
Vendor will not accept a tracking link You cannot count what you are buying Do not buy it

Clicks with no subscribers is a page problem

If every channel shows the same pattern, no channel will fix it. Tighten your bio, check your price against your niche, and make the first previews do more work before buying more traffic. Our notes on your OnlyFans link in bio cover the page fans see first.

Flat-fee shoutouts need their own link

A $50 shoutout that brings three fans cost $16.67 each, which may be a bargain. You only know if it went up with its own tracking link. More on pricing them in our guide to OnlyFans shoutouts.

Scale in steps, not jumps

A channel that converts at $10 a day may not hold at $50, because the extra clicks come from less interested people. Raise the budget about half at a time and recheck the cost per subscriber after each step.

Why a directory is the first paid channel in the plan

A campaign needs one channel that starts today, charges by a unit you can count, and lets you stop at any time. Most of the alternatives fail one of those tests. Social accounts take months to build and Instagram and TikTok remove accounts that promote adult content. Promo pages and shoutouts are paid up front for a post you cannot measure unless the seller agrees to your link. Ad networks bill per impression.

Here the unit is a click from a fan who is already searching for a creator to subscribe to. Claim your profile for $19.99 a month (or $9.99 billed yearly), paste an OnlyFans tracking link made just for this directory into the OnlyFans URL field, and switch on search ads at $0.50 a click with a $10 daily budget. Your dashboard counts the clicks, your tracking link counts the subscribers, and the cost per subscriber is one division away. Move to category ads at $1.00 a click in your strongest niche once the numbers say your page converts.

If you would rather compare vendors before choosing, our review of OnlyFans promotion services sorts them by business model, and the page on OnlyFans traffic sources covers the free channels that belong in the same test.

Three campaigns worth running

Launch campaign

A new page with 20 to 30 posts and no audience. Run search ads on your stage name and niche keywords for 14 days and learn your real conversion rate before paying for anything bigger. Without that number every other spend is a guess.

Price-change campaign

You are moving from $5 to $12. Run the same channel on a new tracking link for a week after the change and compare cost per subscriber against the old price. A higher price that converts a little worse often still wins on what each fan is worth.

Content-drop campaign

A new shoot or collaboration is going up. Put a week of category ads in the matching niche behind it and send the clicks to a link named for the drop, so you can see whether the new set brings fans or only pleases the ones you have.

A campaign is one part of a plan. The wider picture, including which channels suit which niche, is in our OnlyFans marketing strategy page.

OnlyFans promotion campaign questions, answered

How do I run a promotion campaign on OnlyFans?

Decide the most you will pay for one new subscriber, create a separate OnlyFans tracking link for every channel, and launch one measurable paid channel on a capped daily budget alongside your free ones. Review cost per subscriber on day 7, cut anything above your ceiling, move money to what works, and close the test on day 14.

How much should I spend on an OnlyFans promotion campaign?

Enough to get about 200 clicks per paid channel, because fewer than that tells you very little. On directory search ads at $0.50 a click that is about $100, or two weeks at the $10 daily minimum. Budget for the test, not the whole month, and only scale a channel after its tracking link proves it pays back.

What are OnlyFans tracking links?

OnlyFans tracking links are extra versions of your profile URL that you create under Settings, Profile, Subscription. Each one counts the clicks it receives and how many of those visitors subscribed. Give every promotion channel its own link and you can see which source actually produces paying fans instead of guessing from views.

What is a good cost per subscriber on OnlyFans?

A good cost per subscriber is anything below what a fan is worth to you. OnlyFans keeps 20 percent, so a $10 fan who stays two months and spends $10 on tips or pay-per-view nets you about $24. Any channel that brings subscribers in under that number pays back; anything above it loses money on every fan.

Should I use a free trial link or a paid subscription for a campaign?

Use a paid subscription link to measure a channel first, because a trial counts people who may never pay. Trial links make sense once you know a channel converts and you want more volume, and then you judge them on how many trial fans convert to paid at the end, not on sign-ups.

How long should an OnlyFans promotion campaign run?

Run each paid channel for 7 to 14 days. One week is usually enough to spot a channel with clicks and no subscribers. Two weeks gives enough subscribers to compare cost per fan across channels and a first look at who renews. Longer tests mostly burn budget on channels you could have cut earlier.

Can I use an OnlyFans tracking link on my directory listing?

Yes. When you claim your profile here, the OnlyFans URL field is the link fans are sent to, so you can paste a tracking link made only for this directory. Your OnlyFans statistics then show exactly how many subscribers the listing and its ads produced, next to the click count in your dashboard.

Start the campaign with a channel you can count

Claim your profile for $19.99 a month, point it at a tracking link, and run search ads from $0.50 a click on $10 a day. Day 7 will tell you whether to scale.
